TRC Foundation celebration to be held March 26

Plan to be a part of the festivities when TRC Foundation holds its third annual celebration Thursday, March 26.  The event will be held in the Conference Center at The Resource Center’s Administrative Offices, 200 Dunham Avenue in Jamestown, beginning with a social hour at 6:00 p.m.

TRC Foundation’s celebration is an opportunity to thank those who support the organization’s mission of improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and socioeconomic challenges.  In particular, the ebent will pay tribute to people and businesses who, during 2014, reached milestone levels of cumulative financial contributions to TRC Foundation, The Resource Center and Filling the Gap, Inc..  In addition, TRC Foundation will present its Carl Cappa Humanitarian of the Year Award and its Volunteer of the Year Award.

TRC Foundation was established in 1994 to raise money to meet the unfunded needs of individuals with disabling conditions.  Since then, TRC Foundation has awarded more than $800,000 in grants.  During the past year, TRC Foundation grant dollars provided transportation vouchers so that people could get to work, medical appointments and recreational activities; paid for monthly social activities for individuals with developmental disabilities; funded services for youths with autism; helped cover the cost of parent support group meetings; and advanced self-advocacy initiatives, among other things.

The cost to attend the event is $25 per person.  Reservations are due Thursday, March 19.  For more information or to confirm your reservation, contact Victoria Trass Bardo, Development and Event Manager for Filling the Gap, at 661-1477 or at
